After the youngest SWB-dressage horses had entered the arena at Scandinavium the winner of the SWB Trophy for 5-year-old dressage horses presented by Hyperion was Ester (1) (SWB) born: 2019, by Total Hope out of Karisma (1) (SWB) – L’Acteur, breeder and owner: Petra Witzäll, claimed the victory with rider Johanna Due Boje. The pair displayed a test in a very harmonious manner, according to judge Isobel Wessels, with the highlight being the canter, which received a score of 8.8. A lovely horse with a clear future!

”Ester is one of my new stars that I believe in a lot,” says Johanna Due-Boje after the ride. ”She has a big personality. I love mares, and Ester is a new Mazy Kløvenhøj” said Ester’s rider Johanna Due Boje, who was eighth in the World Cup final last year with Mazy, another SWB-bred mare.

”Ester is our third offspring after Karisma. We had plans to breed with Totilas, but at the same time, we knew he wasn’t available for fresh semen, which works best for her. Therefore, we chose Total Hope. The foal was named after our daughter, who has Ester as her middle name,” Petra explains.

”I have two mares in breeding, and the idea is for Ester to have a long competitive career with Johanna and then come home for breeding.” said Petra.

Hyperion Stud is the official partner of the Swedish Warmblood Trophy – SWB Trophy, allowing some of Swedens best young horses to showcase themselves at Scandinavium during the Gothenburg Horse Show. The American stud farm operations on both sides of the Atlantic, has secured the competition, meaning that the class where horses have achieved top placements during the SWB Equestrian Weeks is secured until 2025 in its current form.
