SWB continues to develop the format of SWB Equestrian Weeks and is now making a significant investment in breeders and owners of the 3-year-old horses competing in this year’s championships during the first weekend, 26–27 September. For this year’s event, the prize fund has been increased and will be awarded to the eight highest-placed horses, compared to the previous five, in both jumping and dressage breeding championships.
A total of SEK 140,000 will be distributed during the first weekend of SWB Equestrian Weeks, with prize money shared between horse owners and breeders in both disciplines. In addition to the championship classes, special scholarships will be awarded in the National Mare Show for 3-year-old horses and in the 3-Year-Old Championship in cooperation with Agria and Hyperion Stud.
On Saturday, the championship classes will be interspersed with lectures and seminars presented together with SWB’s partners, focusing on current topics of interest to breeders and horse owners.
“We have taken a comprehensive new approach to this year’s championships and are now offering our breeders an entire weekend dedicated to knowledge and learning, combining the championships with lectures on relevant and timely topics. The fact that, together with Agria and Hyperion Stud, we will also be awarding a total of SEK 140,000 to the youngest horses during the weekend feels very rewarding,” says Anette Graf, CEO of SWB.
Every year, SWB Equestrian Weeks brings together the country’s top young SWB horses, along with their breeders, owners, and riders. This year’s opening weekend will place a clear focus on the sport horses of the future, knowledge sharing, and greater recognition of the long-term commitment behind Swedish Warmblood breeding. The Championship for 3-Year-Old Dressage Horses will take place on Saturday, while the Championship for 3-Year-Old Jumping Horses will be held on Sunday. Admission will be free on both days.
