SWB is proud to welcome Anette Graf as its new CEO. With over 25 years of experience in veterinary medicine, business development, and leadership, she combines professional expertise with a genuine commitment to the horse and to sustainable development within the equine sector.

– ”As CEO of SWB, I see an opportunity to help shape the horses of the future. In Sweden, riding is a national pastime, which means we need horses for every day riders and for elite competition. I want to continue building bridges between breeders, riders, young horse trainers, and horse owners – ensuring that every horse born has the opportunity and support it needs to thrive,” says Anette Graf.

Pär Eriksson, board member of SWB, adds:
– ”We are very pleased to welcome Anette as our new CEO. Her collaborative leadership style, deep subject knowledge, and solid understanding of the industry will be invaluable as we continue to grow. With her strong roots in the equine world, analytical mindset, and genuine passion for cooperation, we look forward to taking the next step together.”

Extensive background and international engagement
Anette Graf was born and raised in Hudiksvall, 300 kilometers north of Stockholm. She earned her veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College in London and holds specialist qualifications in equine diseases. With over two decades of clinical experience – particularly in orthopedics, rehabilitation, and ultrasound diagnostics – she has worked with sport horses, ponies, and trotters.

Most recently, she served as a specialist consultant at Agria Pet Insurance, where she worked with insurance medicine for horses. She has also contributed to veterinary education within the field of animal health and care.

Since 2021, Anette has been Vice-President of FEEVA (Federation of European Equine Veterinary Associations) and Chair of its Equine Welfare Working Group. She is an active voice in equine welfare and the use of horses in sport and is frequently invited as a speaker and moderator at national and international courses and conferences.

Deeply rooted in the horse world – professionally and personally
Anette currently lives on a horse farm in Kvibille, just outside Halmstad, with her husband, several horses, two cats, and a lively (or as she puts it, “completely crazy”) Jack Russell named Sune. On her own homebred Jefferson (SWB) (b. 2010, gelding, by Rosevelt out of F-Roxane by Quattro B), Anette trains and competes in dressage at medium level, and enjoys a quiet ride in the woods just as much as a day in the competition arena.

– ”It feels like I’m stepping into a well-set table – so much is already underway, and I look forward to continuing that work,” says Anette Graf. ”I’d say my strength lies in the ability to listen, make bold decisions, and set clear direction.”

– ”Coming from Hudiksvall myself, I know how important it is that SWB remains visible and accessible to breeders across the entire country. There are many advantages to breeding horses even in northern Sweden – something I want to advocate for in my role.”

With a deep love for horses, wide-ranging experience across the industry, and a drive to lead through collaboration and clear leadership, we are excited about what Anette Graf will bring to SWB as our new CEO.
