Hyperion Stud remains an important partner to SWB Equestrian Weeks, which is a long-term and significant initiative with a focus on highlighting the SWB horses of the future and creating a vital meeting place for breeders and sport enthusiasts – with breeders taking center stage.
Based in Virginia, USA, Hyperion Stud is well known for its international work in both sport and breeding, as well as its dedication to developing horses across all three Olympic disciplines: dressage, show jumping, and eventing. The partnership with SWB is built on shared values – quality, sustainability, and, above all, the central role of breeders in the horse world.
“This is not just a partnership; it’s a shared responsibility to shape the future. We believe in building from the ground up: no breeders, no horses. No horses, no sport. Through our continued partnership with SWB, we want to give more young horses the chance to be seen, to grow, and, hopefully, to succeed, together with their breeders, riders, owners, and teams. SWB Equestrian Weeks at Flyinge is a fantastic event at a unique, historic venue that honors the roots of the SWB horse, and we want to help elevate it even further, says Vicky Castegren, owner and founder of Hyperion Stud.
From SWB’s perspective, the collaboration is seen as a strategic reinforcement of the federation’s long-term work.
“This partnership means a great deal to us. We have a clear ambition to continue developing SWB Equestrian Weeks as the leading meeting place for Swedish-bred horses, and with Hyperion Stud we can take new steps in that work. It’s about continuing to create strong opportunities for our breeders to develop their breeding programs, build their networks, and, not least, find buyers for their horses,” says Helén Uddefors, CEO of SWB.
As part of the extended collaboration, several new activities will be launched during this year’s SWB Equestrian Weeks. Among them are an exciting “Breeders Night” on Saturday, October 4th, dedicated to breeders, horse owners, and riders. A “Young Breeders Lunch”, organized together with Ung SWB, will highlight the next generation of breeders, while “Champion of the Champions” will showcase Sweden’s top young eventing horses in a new demonstration format.
SWB looks forward with great anticipation to continuing its collaboration with Hyperion Stud, a partnership that not only strengthens SWB Equestrian Weeks but also helps ensure that more Swedish breeders and their horses have the chance to grow and be recognized, both nationally and internationally.
